The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership.
 
The National Taitung University (NTTU) in Taiwan has been actively developing into an international Green University (GU) based on wisdom, health, sustainability, and aesthetics, with an excellent campus and specialized education. We are committed to establishing teachings and scientific and technology development that support a Green Knowledge Economy (GKE) and cultivating a new generation that is disciplined, innovative, and able to apply their knowledge for the benefit of all mankind. All faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to embody the campus culture in all aspects of university life, extending their influence into their communities, society, the country, and overseas and to achieve global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the future.
 
FEU Institute of Technology (FEU Tech) aims to be one of the top five technology educational institutions in the Philippines. FEU Tech is dedicated to provide quality, relevant, innovative and industry-based education producing competent and principled professionals with greater sense of responsibility, social awareness and high competitiveness contributing significantly to the betterment of the society. In order to build partnerships with FEU Tech to form a connected community that enables faculty and students to participate in international green university activities, we invite the faculty and students teams from FEU Tech to present at least three works this year, and expand the activities for cooperation between the two universities next year.
 
This workshop is expected to select at least 30 works on GKE innovations and GU topics. We will prioritize topics related to the SDGs, including: Affordable Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Good Health and Well-Being, Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Agriculture, Tribal Circular Economy EcologyThe themes of the works are related to SDGs, including: affordable clean energy, sustainable cities and communities, good health and well-being, sustainable and ecologically friendly agriculture, tribal circular economy ecosystems, and quality education for sustainable development.
